Why Bogotá

Bogotá is Colombia's capital and its biggest international gateway, with nonstop flights from many major U.S. cities into El Dorado International Airport (BOG). It sits within an hour of U.S. East Coast time year-round, so there's no jet lag to recover from before or after your procedure. It's also home to five of Colombia's top ten hospitals on Newsweek's World's Best Hospitals 2026 list.

Where you'll be

Our clinic is in La Castellana, a residential neighborhood in north Bogotá: Cra. 49a #93-23. You'll stay at a five-star hotel a short ride away, and we handle every transfer between the airport, the hotel and the clinic — you won't need to navigate the city on your own.

Your trip, day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive.

We meet you at El Dorado airport and take you to your hotel. Settle in and rest from the flight.

  2. Day 2

    Medical exam.

Your pre-surgery medical exam, so your surgical team has everything they need before procedure day.

  3. Day 3

    Procedure day.

Hairline design with your surgeon, then your FUE procedure under twilight sedation, with a licensed anesthesiologist present the entire time.

  4. Day 4

    Fly home.

A private car to the airport, with your aftercare kit and a written recovery plan in English. Your first wash comes 4 days after your procedure, following that plan.

A few practical notes

  • No visa is needed for a short visit on a U.S. passport.
  • Bogotá sits at about 2,640 meters (8,660 feet). Some visitors notice the altitude on the first day — which is one reason your procedure isn't until Day 3.
  • Your team speaks English from your first message through your 12-month follow-up.

How Encore does it

Every procedure is performed by a board-certified surgeon, supported by two licensed technicians and an anesthesiologist, and we cap our schedule at three procedures a day. One flat fee in U.S. dollars covers the procedure, unlimited grafts, 3 nights at a five-star hotel with breakfast, airport pickup and transfers, and 12 months of follow-up.
